KAMEX FOR A CAUSE was established with a mission to fortify our community and enrich the lives of individuals residing and working in the regions where we operate. Our goal is to actively participate in charitable initiatives, providing significant financial resources to make a positive impact in our locality. In recent years, we have contributed to a range of organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Black Widows Softball, Pedal The Cause, Party at the Beach - Village of Pontoon Beach, Alton/Wood River Sportsman Club, CF Gateway Foundation, Gillespie Bass Club, Gillespie Masonic Lodge, Soldiers Angels, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
As a business, KAMEX recognizes the importance of supporting our community and extending assistance to those who are integral to our success.
Each year, the Polar Plunge brings together thousands of warm-hearted individuals from across the state. It’s a great way for everyone – individuals, organizations and businesses – to support Special Olympics Illinois. All funds raised go to provide programing and events for more than 23,100 traditional athletes and 13,000 Young Athletes participating in Illinois.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a 501 non-profit organization in the United States established to provide the means to cure cystic fibrosis and ensure that those living with CF live long and productive lives.
The Alton-Wood River Sportsmen’s Club is located in Godfrey, IL and provides a clean comfortable facility where members, family and guests may affordably engage in activities in a wholesome environment which encourages social activities and friendly competition. We give families equal opportunities to gain personal skills through participation in fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities.

OUR MISSION is to provide critical funding for cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital through our annual cycling challenge. It is our hope that research funded by Pedal the Cause will ultimately lead to a cure for cancer.
Founded in 2009 with the bold model of using 100% of public donations to fund world-class cancer research, Pedal the Cause has quickly become the gateway to curing cancer – all cancers, for everyone. In this period of diminished federal funding where support typically gets funneled to already proven concepts, many potential new ideas are not deemed eligible. Pedal the Cause donations “seed” best-in-breed ideas at our beneficiaries to allow the cultivation of proof of concept and critical data. These seeded projects often turn into groundbreaking results that lead to new treatments and cures, preventions, and early detection diagnostics. Additionally, donations from Pedal the Cause make a positive economic impact in the St. Louis community as stronger research funding will continue to support this high profile and critically important segment of the St. Louis economy.
