KAMEX recently completed a 6.5 Million Dollar project for Republic Services thru Ameresco. From the ground up KAMEX self-performed and completed all the site work mass grading, roads, and utilities for the project. Along with the sitework package KAMEX was awarded the GC & Structural Foundation scopes of work. Crews poured over 4000 cubic yards of concrete for twenty isolated structural foundations to facilitate equipment. These foundations ranged anywhere from 1.5 ft thick to 4ft thick. KAMEX crews also constructed a 12,000 sf masonry block compressor building and 4,500 sf masonry block electrical building consisting of structural bar joist roof decking and insulated EPDM roofing.. Along with constructing these structures, the crews self-performed all hardware, doors, finish carpentry, painting, and plumbing. This project was a great fit for us and showcased the diversity and wide range of services we have here at KAMEX.
SCOPE OF WORK:
KAMEX recently completed a very complex and challenging 11 Acre Cell for Champ Landfill. This particular project was constructed at the bottom floor elevation of an active quarry. Crews worked alongside with New Frontier Quarry personnel to not disrupt mining operations and moved over 150,000 cubic yards of material consisting of Overburden, Aggregate Drainage Layer, Shot Rock Fill Wedge, Clay Liner Material, and the final Leachate Drainage Layer. Prior to cell excavation crews completed extensive rock excavations and dewatering operations to facilitate leachate underdrain piping. All work was self-performed by KAMEX crews and completed per a strict schedule.
